The emergence of AI and ChatGPT in the market has revolutionized people’s attitudes toward artificial intelligence. One year was enough to understand how useful this tool can be on a daily basis. Thanks to the big boom and interest in this topic, startups like Virbe are getting more attention. And that’s great because it allows us to hear stories about using these common tools for a bigger purpose.
In our last episode of this season’s podcast, Agata Walendowska had the pleasure of talking to Krzysztof Wróble, CEO and founder of Virbe, a startup that specializes in creating 3D avatars. Want to know what they talked about?
Virbe
“It’s about creating an interactive conversation avatar that can communicate with customers. This is an interfacial layer between businesses and customers,” said Krzysztof when we asked him what his startup does. During the conversation, there was also another guest—a 3D avatar that was sneezing, waving, and smiling at you, dear viewers, which is a product of this startup.
Another interesting topic was where we can encounter such created personas. The answer was simple: if you are waiting too long in a queue in a call center, shop, or anywhere else, you might want to talk to the virtual being or the chatbot instead of waiting.
Virtual Beings
Virbe’s solution is unique and can be used everywhere. Virtual Beings consist of three main layers: Conversational AI, Voice (speech recognition and generation), and a visual representation including 3D models, animations, and interaction scripts.
A virtual person can be modified and adjusted to the needs of the clients. It can be turned into a dragon, princess, scientist, or even you if you take the time to adjust all the settings correctly.
Startup During the Pandemic
Virbe started working in 2020. As our guest said, it was not the best time for startup development because of the pandemic. “Once COVID started, more or less everyone panicked, and I’m speaking about the business side of the world. It’s also not the best time when you want to spend money,” said the CEO in our conversation.
Advice for the Future
As always, our guest received the last question about his advice for other CEOs. Here’s a little sneak peek for you: “Having a good partner and a lot of advisors and mentors, especially if it’s your first time building a startup.”

We also want to thank all listeners, guests, and supporters for creating a community around Startup Stories. This episode was the last one for the third season. But don’t worry, we’ll be back with new startups and new stories in the autumn. In the meantime, join our Online Summer Startup Camp and get a free ebook with tips for developing your startup.
